Job Description

Supply Chain Developer

Do you have hands-on experience in production planning and enjoy turning data into better decisions? Join our Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) team within Industrial Technique Business Area as a Supply Chain Developer. You will help connect central planning with operational reality, strengthen our S&OP process and improve how we use data, processes and digital tools to make decisions.

Your role

You will work at the intersection of production, supply chain and commercial operations. A key part of your contribution will be bringing practical production-planning insight into central planning discussions and helping turn decisions into workable improvements.

Your time will be divided between the recurring S&OP cycle and development initiatives. You will analyse demand, forecasts, capacity, inventory and service levels, identify root causes and recommend practical actions. You will also contribute to improvements in processes, systems, analytics and digital ways of working.

You will collaborate with colleagues across functions and geographies. Some initiatives will be led by you, while others will be delivered together with specialists and stakeholders across the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Support key parts of the recurring Sales & Operations Planning cycle and prepare clear analysis and recommendation for decisions.
  • Analyze demand, forecasts, capacity, inventory and service levels to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop or improve relevant key performance indicators, reports and dashboards.
  • Lead or contribute to assigned process, system and digital development initiatives.
  • Work with production, supply chain, commercial teams and Customer Centers to clarify requirements and follow through on agreed actions.
  • Help colleagues adopt improved tools and data-driven ways of working.

The role reports to Sales & Operations Planning Manager.

To succeed, you will need

  • Hands-on production-planning experience from an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning, including demand, forecasting, supply, capacity and inventory planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data and operational trade-offs into recommendations.
  • Experience improving supply chain processes or operational ways of working.
  • The ability to collaborate and influence across functions, organisations or geographies.
  • A structured, curious and accountable approach
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.

Experience with Power BI, SAP or another enterprise resource planning system, Integrated Business Planning, statistical forecasting, digital planning tools or AI-enabled solutions is an advantage, but not a requirement.

We value different perspectives. We encourage you to apply if your experience matches the core requirements, even if you do not meet every preferred qualification.

In return, we offer

At Atlas Copco, we believe that there is always a better way. Here, you will have the freedom and responsibility to use your experience, challenge existing ways of working and turn ideas into improvements that make a difference.
