Job Description

Your role

Bring your curiosity to work as our next Global Academy Manager for Portable Power and Flow Division. You will be part of our divisional team reporting to the VP Human Resources. In this role, your mission is leading the division-wide academy as the center of our development strategy for building the capabilities needed to serve customers, accelerating knowledge transfer and strengthen collaboration across Product Companies and Customer Centers. The role converts business and technology priorities into consistent, scalable learning pathways across Sales and Marketing, Product and Application, Operational Excellence and Leadership, while leveraging the division’s global competence.

As Global Academy Manager you will develop and implement a shared competence framework and learning language across the Portable Power and Flow community, speeding up the time to competence through structured, role-based and mentored learning journeys, using capability-gap data for learning effectiveness globally. You will contribute directly to how we create high‑quality products and solutions for our customers.

Your day-to-day

  • Set academy strategy and governance, translating divisional strategy, customer needs and functional critical skills into annual priorities and an academy roadmap.
  • Define competence architecture, establish role-based frameworks, proficiency levels and learning pathways across Sales and Marketing, Product and Application, Operational Excellence and Leadership, identifying current and future capability gaps with business and functional leaders, ensuring global learning quality and relevance.
  • Develop Learning Intelligence platform, managing the academy’s learning ecosystem, knowledge and content governance, hands-on requirements and Learning Management System, supported by analytics and dashboards covering capability gaps, assessments, learner feedback and trainer capacity.
  • Design and manage blended learning solutions, mobilizing a global network of business and divisional experts, mentors and trainers. Collaborate across Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Operations and technical functions to align content with evolving products, technologies, processes and customer needs, and scale knowledge division-wide. Combine digital, virtual, classroom, mentored and hands-on learning, with assessments and internal certification where relevant.
  • Drive program rollout, engagement and community, building a recognizable academy identity leveraging PowerTec and FlowTec as the academy’s house and fostering an active Portable Power and Flow learning community.
  • Support integration and transformation, incorporating acquisitions and emerging capabilities into the academy framework. Enable standardization, change adoption, reskilling, upskilling and faster transfer of proven practices across the division.

Your skills and experience

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Business, Education or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Significant experience leading learning, academy, capability-development or technical-training programs in a complex international organization with engineering-based experience.
  • Demonstrated experience translating business strategy and technical requirements into competence frameworks and scalable learning journeys, from concept and stakeholder alignment through deployment, evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience coordinating geographically dispersed stakeholders and influencing senior leaders, subject-matter experts and internal faculty in a matrix organization.
  • Working knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, assessment, digital learning, learning technologies and knowledge-management practices.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.

We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and are excited to see what you bring to the role.
