Are you our next Global key Account Engineer?
Do you enjoy solving technical problems and explaining them to customers? Are you a self-starter who enjoys the independence of working autonomously in various workplaces?
As the key Account Engineer for Ford PTO, you will lead validation efforts for new products and execute all supporting tasks related to the launch and implementation of new products. You will also act as the primary point of contact for technical issues on specific products and be the customer's technical contact during the testing and validation of new products. This position will “dotted line” report to the Global Key Account Manager (GKAM)
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Support ongoing product validation strategies for all products, current and future, including:
- Under the direction of the Ford PTO GKAM and Ford PTO tooling validation engineers, develop validation schedules for all relevant new products.
- Gather the correct resources (hardware, software, people, etc.).
- Set up equipment and assist with validation tasks.
- Summarize and communicate results.
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical issues on specific products and be the customer technical contact during testing and validation of new products.
- Work with the customer, the GKAM, and Engineering in order to streamline the problem-solving process (e.g., maintain the open issue list with actions, due dates, responsible person, QCMs, etc.).
- Learn Ford PTO fastening/process/error proofing standards and assist in developing and adhering to those standards.
- Develop standards for product implementation and troubleshooting.
- Create training material, certification tests, and standards for global distribution.
- Under the supervision of the GKAM and Ford PTOtooling validation engineers, manage the technical content of the Ford PTO SharePoint site to promote standards and ensure smooth vehicle program launches.
- Incorporate “lessons learned” material for future use and application per Atlas Copco and Ford PTO direction
To succeed, you will need
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 20% nationally and 80% local
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with equipment and software products in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to demonstrate and train customers on Atlas Copco equipment
- Experience servicing fastening tools, knowledge of torque theory, and fastening
- IT experience with the ability to install and troubleshoot software, SQL, networks, and databases preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Participation in flexible working hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays is a requirement
- Superior customer experience and continuous learning
- A High School diploma or GED is required
