Job Description
  • Understand the voltage and power specifications at the location where the equipment is installed 
  • Calculate the maximum / minimum capacity of the input power of the equipment 
  • Determine the load capacity of the equipment and calculate the voltage drop to determine the input capacity and specification of the protective equipment 
  • Identify the type of power device used and the allowable capacity of the equipment 
  • Selecting a power device suitable for the designed power capacity of the equipment 
  • Designed considering the compatibility between selected power devices and other electrical components 
  • Selection of electrical components and materials considering installation environment and safety are reflected in design
  • Arranged considering the space and position of the electric panel / Designed for maintenance
  • Understand testing of EMC (EN61326) or Safety (EN61010)
  • Software verification for electrical parts

 

Education level

  • Bachelor or Master degree in electric / electronics / mechatronics and/or equivalent in a relevant discipline

 

Relevant Previous experience

 

  • A practical understanding of basic general engineering principles
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems following a methodical approach
  • Ability to read and understand electrical wiring schematics and electronic circuit diagrams.
  • Familiarity with using test & measurement equipment: e.g. multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators etc
  • Technology for selecting electrical devices suitable for power capacity
  • (Preferred) Experience in safety certification like UL, TUV, CE
  • (Preferred) Test engineering for EMC/Safety compliance
  • System varification test for electrical area(HW/SW)

 

Knowledge areas/Skills (minimum level of knowledge to fullfil the role’s responsibilities)

  • CAD skill: OrCAD, Auto-CAD, CATIA(2D)
  • OS skill: Excel, power point, Word, VISIO
  • Test equipment operation experience

 

Other requirements (e.g. Language skills; competencies; expected travel requirements)

  • Fluent verbal and written Korean / English skills
