To develop and design mechanical systems solutions to engineering problems using new or existing technologies in creative and innovative ways during the life cycle of development of new products.

1. Support and follow-up activities to customer requirements of mechanical systems into product specifications to meet customer desires and to satisfy international / national laws and standards.
2. Translate product specifications of mechanical systems into P & ID, 3D modelling, 2D drawings and engineering analysis / calculation for manufacturable, reliable and serviceable new product.
3. Create test specifications of mechanical systems and perform tests to verify and validate the design and the product that meet customer requirements and work in accordance with design intention.
4. Support and follow-up risk assessment through HazOp and FMEA methodologies.
5. Create BoM – Material Master, Assembly and Sub-assembly masters - for new products through SAP.
6. Communicate with procurement and manufacturing to clarify design issues of mechanical systems during the development stage.
7. Implement cost effective design to new product during the development stage.
8. Coach / mentor engineer.

• Education level
  • Have bachelor’s degree or above on mechanical or mechatronics or equivalent in engineering field.

• Relevant Previous experience (minimum years of experience to competently carry out the role, not total year of experience)
  • Worked in a new product development / assembly environment with at least 4 years.
  • Understand full project phases through purchasing, design, executing and close out.
  • Understand time, cost & quality constrains.
  • Be able to deal with internal and external suppliers.
