This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, results driven, excels at customer interactions and focuses on the details when it comes to customer expectations.

Are You Our Next Feed System Proposal Manager?

As the Feed System Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end development of technical and commercial proposals for both fastening-centric and parts feeding solutions. This role combines engineering expertise with strategic proposal management, focusing on concept development and corresponding cost estimations for complex manufacturing solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in feeding and automated assembly systems with the ability to translate customer requirements into innovative, cost-effective manufacturable solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Support automotive (MVI) and general industry (GI) business line customers with the feed system quoting process for our Industrial Technique Business Area (ITBA)
  • Lead the full proposal lifecycle from RFQ review through submission and customer follow-up
  • Work closely with sales and the customer to gather requirements for proposal development of Atlas Copco feeding and assembly solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, manufacturing, supply chain, and service on proposed solutions and requirements
  • Support process engineering in areas such as cycle time calculations, content selection, error-proofing and quality control strategies, process sequences and risk identification
  • Clarify specifications and drive resolution on any open technical items
  • Develop accurate cost estimates for equipment, tooling, and integration
  • Analyze cost drivers and propose cost-optimized solutions
  • Support pricing strategies in collaboration with sales and leadership
  • Prepare technical feeding and assembly automation proposals using easy to understand language to clearly define our scope, solution features and overall value proposition. Ensure proposals are clear, accurate, and aligned with customer expectations
  • Lead or support customer technical reviews and proposal presentations
  • Build strong relationships with customers through technical credibility and responsiveness

To succeed, you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience gained through relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in feeding, automated assembly systems, industrial automation, or related manufacturing environments preferred
  • Experience in applications engineering, proposal development, process engineering, or related technical customer support functions
  • Automotive and/or high-volume manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and commercial teams
  • Ability to investigate, develop, and quote custom feeding and assembly solutions based on customer requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% to support sales activities and better understand customer manufacturing processes to ensure optimal solution development
