Depending on your chosen apprenticeship, your programme will typically last between two and four years, combining structured learning with hands-on experience in the workplace. Main Responsibilities –
- Support Manufacturing Engineers with continuous improvement activities across the factory.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
- Learn how manufacturing processes, equipment and systems are developed and maintained.
- Assist with the introduction of new tooling, fixtures and manufacturing methods.
- Supporting manufacturing engineering tasks and projects alongside colleagues while developing technical knowledge and practical skills.
- Assisting with manufacturing engineering investigations, improvement activities and project work under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Supporting testing, validation and problem-solving activities while learning engineering best practices.
- Working with production, quality, supply chain and a variety of engineering teams to understand how manufacturing improvements are introduced successfully.
