Role Overview
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will contribute to the design, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing processes for oil-free air compressors. This role is vital to ensuring that production meets both high standards of quality and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality assurance, and production planning, to develop and improve manufacturing systems and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes that optimize productivity, reduce waste, and maintain product quality standards.
- Analyze production methods and workflows to identify opportunities for process enhancement and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and product modifications.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Support troubleshooting activities on the production floor by providing technical expertise and engineering solutions.
- Automate manufacturing processes where applicable to increase efficiency and ensure consistency.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture in all manufacturing activities.
- Assist in training production staff on new processes, equipment, and quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within compressor or heavy machinery production environments.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling design, and production systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative and practical solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work within multidisciplinary teams.
