[Purpose of this Job]
- The On-site Project Engineer is responsible for supervising project execution activities at customer sites to ensure safe, timely, and quality-compliant installation and handover of Atlas Copco equipment and systems.
- The role acts as the primary site representative during delivery, installation, inspection, and punch closure phases, coordinating contractors, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to achieve successful project execution and customer satisfaction
[Duties&Responsibility]
1. Site Supervision & Installation Management
- Supervise on-site installation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance during installation works.
- Verify equipment positioning, alignment, piping, electrical connections, and auxiliary equipment installation.
- Conduct regular site inspections and report project progress.
2. Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate and manage local contractors and vendors performing installation works.
- Review site readiness and installation conditions with vendors.
- Support technical clarification and problem resolution between customer, contractor, and Atlas Copco.
3. Delivery & Material Verification
- Verify equipment receipt at site when required.
- Check delivered equipment against packing lists and delivery documents.
- Identify transportation damage, shortages, or non-conformities and initiate corrective actions.
- Coordinate unloading and storage activities.
4. Inspection & Quality Control
- Conduct installation completion inspections.
- Witness site inspections and customer acceptance inspections.
- Ensure installation complies with approved drawings and project requirements.
- Prepare inspection reports and corrective action records.
5. Punch List Management
- Identify, track, and close site punch items.
- Coordinate corrective actions with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for major punch items.
- Support customer meetings related to punch item resolution.
- Monitor punch list closure until final acceptance.
6. Commissioning Support
- Coordinate commissioning schedules with internal and external commissioning engineers.
- Ensure site readiness for commissioning activities.
- Support troubleshooting and modification works during commissioning.
- Facilitate customer witnessing and performance verification tests.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain site progress reports and issue logs.
- Prepare installation reports, inspection reports, punch status reports, and site meeting minutes.
- Support preparation of as-built documentation and project close-out documents.
- Report project risks, delays, and safety concerns in a timely manner.
8. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Atlas Copco safety standards and customer site regulations.
- Participate in toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
- Identify and escalate safety risks immediately.
- Promote a strong safety culture on project sites.
[Qualifications]
1. Experience/Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 3~7 years of experience in industrial equipment installation, construction supervision, project execution, or field engineering.
- Experience with compressors, dryers, utilities, industrial plants, EPC projects, semiconductors, battery, power, oil & gas, or manufacturing industries preferred.
2. Knowledge/Skill
- Understanding of industrial piping, electrical systems, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, layout drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.
- Willingness to travel frequently to domestic and overseas project sites.
- Good written and spoken English
