Your role
As an engineer, it will be your mission to realize projects to align our product range with the requirements of the markets served by Pan-Asia.
These markets are located primarily in China and in countries all over the world.
Projects will include R&D projects, new design projects, cost reduction and supplier development projects.
You will play an active role in achieving our mission for product and cost leadership through the project.
Your day-to-day
- Contribute to the company’s mission of product leadership by developing safe, environment, energy saving and reliable products with a First-Time Right approach.
- Help to achieve the company’s mission of cost leadership through a cost-conscious lean design and innovation for cost leading solutions.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sourcing, Production, Quality, and Aftermarket to deliver the projects on time in full. Set up a time frame taking the available resources and priorities into consideration. Coordinate tasks to respect to the set planning.
- Prepare technical drawings/specifications/qualification plan, compile reports for PTM/PCM
- Closely get involved with prototype assembly and prototype tests in the lab.
- Play an active role in supplier visits and technical meetings with suppliers together with the Sourcing engineers to have components with the right quality at market-leading cost.
- Visit customers to get a better customer understanding and follow-up endurance tests or quality issues.
- Support product line and service teams with difficult to solve quality issues.
- Work according to a lesson learned approach and believe there is always a better way.
Your skills and experience
- For senior engineer, minimum 3 years’ experience. Familiar with OIS compressors or air treatment products is preferred.
- Experience on motor, gear, bearing is plus for drive train engineer.
- University degree or above, science and engineering background (prefer one of below: Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal energy and power, Refrigeration, Measurement and control technology and instruments)
- Mandarin mother tongue, good English reading and written, oral is preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Office. Experience with Inventor and MRP systems is an asset.
- Understand DFMEA, safety review and related legal requirements.
