Job Description

Your role

Bring your curiosity to work as our next Project Manager – NextGenCPQ. You will join our IT and Digital Transformation team within the Compressor Technique business area and report to the team leader. In this role, your mission is to lead the successful setup, implementation, global rollout, and organizational transition of our NextGenCPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solution for configurable equipment and service offerings.

Your day-to-day

  • Define project scope, deliverables, roadmaps, governance, and resource plans alongside Product Owners, business stakeholders (OFA, AGA, IAT, CSO), and the core EAS team in Germany.

  • Establish and scale a sustainable local NextGenCPQ delivery and support capability within our regional technology hub in Romania.

  • Coordinate the translation of complex end-to-end quotation and commercial/technical configuration requirements into functional work packages and technical integrations.

  • Oversee full-lifecycle software delivery across analysis, development, testing (UAT), ERP/CRM/PLM integrations, pilot waves, and change management.

  • Manage international stakeholders, project budgets, capacity planning, scope changes, risk mitigation, and executive governance reporting.

  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate time-to-market and build sustainable internal knowledge, documentation, and support models before project closure.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent practical experience; recognized certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) are an advantage.

  • At least 5 years of relevant IT project management experience leading complex digital transformation initiatives (CPQ, ERP, CRM, or product configuration).

  • Solid understanding of Configure-to-Order (CTO) / Engineer-to-Order (ETO) workflows, proposal structures, pricing rules, and cross-application data flows.

  • Experience in establishing or scaling tech delivery capabilities in a regional hub is a strong asset.

  • Structured, result-oriented, and pragmatic project manager with strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-cultural stakeholder management skills.

  • Professional fluency in spoken and written English; willingness to be based in our hub in Romania for an extended period and travel regularly to EAS in Germany.

We encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet every requirement. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and look forward to seeing what you bring to the role.

The actual compensation package will be determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including but not limited to the qualifications, experience, and skills demonstrated during the recruitment process. In addition to base salary, this position may include a comprehensive onboarding program, including guidance by a personal godmother/godfather. You will also have access to global job opportunities, as part of the Atlas Copco Group. We offer an interesting compensation and benefits package, including health insurance, paid leave and retirement benefits.
