Assistant Manager Safety Health & Environment (SHE)

As Assistant Manager – SHE, your mission is to strengthen a sustainable and high-performing culture while supporting Talegaon’s ambition to become a best-in-class manufacturing unit. Ensure effective SHE management, statutory compliance, shop-floor safety, and contractor safety across the manufacturing facility. 

You will report to Site SHE & Maintenance Manager.

• Implement SHE policies, procedures, risk assessments, HIRA and JSA.
• Measure and monitor the organizational safety performance in terms of accidents / near misses as per group guidelines.
• Implement safety, well-being and environmental programs, policies & procedures and trainings to ensure reduced accidents and incidents and work-related injuries, with an aim to achieve accident-free work.
• Manage Internal Audits/Inspections,legal compliance related to DISH, MPCB, PESO, Factories Act and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate statutory inspections, licenses, returns and documentation.
• Ensure effective implementation, certification compliance, and sustenance of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 management systems within the factory.
• Manage contractor safety, permit-to-work system, LOTO, confined space, hot work and work-at-height compliance.
• Implement emergency procedures to respond effectively in the event of accidents / emergency and ensure they are regularly tested and their effectiveness evaluated.
• Sustainability reporting as per group guidelines-collection and analysis of good quality data for Business Partner Reporting as per group guidelines.
• Support NPD, design reviews, validation, and testing to ensure product/process safety and statutory SHE compliance.
• Drive employee wellness, health awareness, and preventive health programs.

To succeed, you will need

Qualifications/Knowledge & Work Experience:

• Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Mechanical/Chemical) from a recognized institution.
• ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) from an authorized institution is mandatory.
• Internal Auditor certification for ISO 14001/45001/9001. 
• Proven 6-9 years of industrial experience in Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) within manufacturing, engineering, industrial equipment, compressor, or process industries.
• Working knowledge of IMS (ISO 14001/45001/9001).
• Experience in dealing with DISH, MPCB and PESO authorities.
