Job Description

Your role

Bring your curiosity to work as our next Engineering Quality Assurance (EQA) Engineer. You will join our FTK team within the engineering department of the Airtec division in Wilrijk and report to the team leader. In this role, your mission is to continuously maintain and improve all Airtec products through proactive and reactive quality management on a global scale.

Your day-to-day

  • Review product designs and change requests on a global scale, scrutinizing technical justifications (calculations, testing, etc.).

  • Participate in and lead Design Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEAs) and assess application approvals for Airtec products.

  • Investigate root causes for field quality issues such as mechanical failures, excessive fault codes, or customer perception concerns.

  • Drive corrective and preventive actions alongside product, manufacturing, and supplier teams within and outside Airtec.

  • Prioritize quality issues and action plans based on customer impact, safety, reliability, and recurrence risk, serving as the spokesperson for field quality.

  • Keep knowledge documents and design manuals up to date, evaluate production quality deviations, and report quality performance in divisional meetings.

Your skills and experience

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Electromechanical, Mechanical, or equivalent practical experience).

  • Strong interest or experience in engineering quality assurance, DFMEA methodologies, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving within R&D or manufacturing.

  • Solid technical understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing technologies, and quality tools.

  • Analytical, critical, and quality-minded with a high sense of ownership and decision-making capacity.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across cross-functional global teams and represent field quality effectively.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English; knowledge of Dutch is considered an asset.

We encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet every requirement. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and look forward to seeing what you bring to the role.
