Your role
The Quality Technician is responsible for performing inspections and process evaluations to ensure products meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This role supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying quality concerns, investigating process issues, and helping implement effective solutions that improve first-pass yield and overall product quality. The Quality Technician reports directly to the Supplier Quality Assurance Supervisor.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Production Team by ensuring that products are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications and company quality standards. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production operations by providing quality inspection and process evaluation expertise.
- Perform visual, dimensional, layout, and non-destructive testing of in-house manufactured and purchased materials to verify compliance with quality requirements.
- Inspect products and components against engineering drawings, specifications, and documented quality standards.
- Process rejected materials and products and generate non-conformance documentation.
- Identify quality issues and potential risks within manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to investigate root causes and develop corrective actions.
- Assist in implementing process improvements to eliminate quality-related failures and prevent recurrence.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to update work instructions and supporting documentation as needed.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Strong mathematical, computer, and analytical skills.

Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, and written work instructions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with BPCS or other ERP systems is a plus.

Ability to collect, analyze, and document quality data accurately.

Working knowledge of manufacturing quality processes, inspection methods, and quality standards.
Education & Experience

Associate degree in a technical field preferred, or high school diploma/GED with equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a Quality Technician role within a manufacturing environment.

Experience performing inspections, documenting non-conformances, and supporting corrective actions preferred.
Physical Requirements

Ability to move throughout the manufacturing facility and perform inspections on the production floor.

Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.

Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds.
