Your role
As a Senior Indirect Category Buyer, you will play a key role in executing global category strategies and leading sourcing projects that support our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Project Management to deliver value through supplier optimization, procurement excellence, and cost-effective sourcing solutions.
You will:
- Supporting the development and execution of sourcing strategies for Factory & Production Equipment categories.
- Managing sourcing projects and assigned sub-categories such as production equipment, tooling, MRO, paints, oils, and related services.
- Leading RFQs, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and supplier selection processes.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Driving supplier performance improvements and supporting supplier development initiatives.
- Analyzing spend, market trends, and supplier capabilities to support data-driven sourcing decisions and total-cost-of-ownership initiatives.
- Identifying and implementing cost optimization opportunities while ensuring quality, compliance, and operational continuity.
- Collaborating with global teams to implement procurement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
To succeed, you will need
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, ideally in manufacturing, industrial environments, factory equipment, MRO, tooling, indirect procurement, or strategic sourcing.
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, RFx processes, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
- Experience leading sourcing projects and managing supplier performance.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with spend, cost, bid, and market data.
- Understanding of equipment procurement, supplier lifecycle management, and Procure-to-Pay processes.
- Advanced Excel and digital skills.
- Fluent English.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills within an international environment.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
