Your Role
Bring your curiosity to work as our next Application Development Engineer. You will be part of our divisional Marketing team reporting to the Senior Application Engineer IV. In this role, your mission is to generate sustainable & profitable growth for the Leybold brand, by highest level application development, management, and support.
Your day-to-day
- Develop new technical solutions for most promising applications of future markets in close cooperation with Market Sector Management and Product Management by theoretical and practical investigation of pumps’ operation conditions
- Distribute new knowledge into local support groups of Customer Centers and Sales in order to multiply applicability. The Customer Center in China will be your focus for providing solutions and guidance for support groups and Sales.
- Provide the highest level of support for complex, challenging customer requests world-wide under consideration of commercial aspects
- Support NPI (new product introduction) processes
Your skills and experience
- University degree in Engineering or a similar science discipline
- 3+ years relevant experience
- Sophisticated technical background – excellent technical understanding of thermodynamics, engineering, and electronics of products
- Sound understanding of process chemistry
- Experience in working in interdisciplinary teams
- Competence in intercultural cooperation
- Fluent in English

Your location
This role is based in our office in Tianjin or Qingdao, China.
You will be part of a dynamic, international team. For for best possible onboarding within the application development team, we would like to invite you to spend approximately 1 year in Cologne, Germany.
