Your role

As a Supplier Development Specialist, your mission is to strengthen supplier performance, quality, and capability by developing strategic supplier relationships, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring suppliers consistently meet business requirements. You will report to the Sourcing Manager.

You will

• Lead supplier onboarding, qualification, and development activities to build a strong, reliable supply base.
  
• Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities, reduce costs, and improve quality and delivery performance.
  
• Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and site visits to evaluate performance, identify risks, and drive corrective actions when needed.
  
• Negotiate framework agreements, maintain supplier compliance documentation, and ensure adherence to corporate policies and standards.
  
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Project teams to resolve supplier-related issues, recover costs from supplier-caused quality events, and support strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Regular domestic and international travel (approximately 50%) is required to support supplier development, audits, and strategic initiatives.

• You have 5-7 years of experience in supplier development, quality improvement, sourcing, engineering, or manufacturing operations.
  
• Strong knowledge of supplier quality systems, auditing practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  
• Proven ability to influence suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders while driving accountability and results.
  
• Experience with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001), supplier audits, and supplier performance management.
  
• Strong data analysis capabilities, including Microsoft Office, Power BI, and ERP systems such as SAP.

Hybrid
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working from home and being on-site at our manufacturing site in Voorheesville, United States (US).
