Your role
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth and market share across the West Region of North America for the Power Technique portfolio within the mining, oil & gas, and industrial sectors. This role will develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on large air compressors, high-pressure portable compressors, boosters, nitrogen generators, air treatment equipment (dryers and filtration), and portable electric compressor technologies. The successful candidate will leverage deep industry knowledge, strong customer relationships, and technical expertise to identify opportunities, develop key accounts, and support customers with innovative compressed air and nitrogen solutions that improve productivity, reliability, safety, and sustainability. This position will work closely with regional sales teams, distributors, product management, service operations, and application specialists to deliver exceptional customer value and achieve aggressive revenue and margin objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue, profitability, and market share growth across the region.
- Identify and pursue business opportunities within mining, oil & gas, petrochemical, pipeline, refining, manufacturing, power generation, and contractor markets.
- Promote and grow sales of portable air compressors, high-pressure compressors, air boosters, nitrogen generators, air treatment equipment, and portable electric compressor solutions.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive customer engagement, prospecting, and opportunity management.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts with strategic customers, EPC firms, and key stakeholders.
- Develop value-based solutions that improve customer productivity, efficiency, uptime, sustainability, and total cost of ownership.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers across North America.
- Manage strategic accounts and multi-site opportunities, driving long-term growth and customer retention.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for customers within the organization.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging market opportunities.
- Identify new applications and growth opportunities for compressed air, nitrogen, and related technologies.
- Partner with marketing and product management teams to support targeted growth initiatives.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Consult with customers to understand operational challenges and recommend tailored equipment solutions.
- Support applications involving drilling and blasting, pipeline testing, nitrogen purging, air boosting, industrial turnarounds, and portable electric compressor technologies.
- Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to develop proposals and customized solutions.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and opportunity pipelines.
- Track performance metrics and provide regular business updates.
- Develop territory and account growth plans aligned with business objectives.
- Participate in annual business planning and strategic review activities.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technical Sales, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 7+ years of successful industrial sales experience.
- 5+ years selling compressed air, gas generation, industrial equipment, rotating equipment, or other technical products.
- Proven success growing strategic accounts and driving revenue growth.
- Experience supporting customers in industries such as mining, oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure.
Technical Knowledge
- Working knowledge of compressed air systems, gas generation, air treatment, nitrogen applications, and industrial process operations.
- Understanding of rental, project-based, and engineered equipment solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling Atlas Copco, Power Technique, or similar industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of mining operations, drilling applications, pipeline projects, or other heavy industrial environments.
- Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and electrification technologies.
- Experience working with both direct and distributor sales channels across North America.

Travel
- This is a remote position requiring approximately 50% travel throughout the Western North America region. Regular travel to customer sites, industrial facilities, project locations, and industry events is expected to support business development and customer relationships.

The annual base salary for this position is $75,350 - $125,580. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation program, with anticipated annual commission earnings of approximately $100,000 - $120,000, subject to individual performance and plan terms.
Actual starting salary will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
