Applicants will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge of vacuum pumps, Abatement system, electrical engineering, software, and semiconductor processes, as well as enhance their personal capabilities.

Additionally, applicants will gain experience and opportunities to work with Edwards/CSK/Atlas Copco's high-quality global processes and systems.

Technical Support Engineer will report to Technical Support Team Leader.

The Technical Support Engineer will typically function as a member of a team working to technical support for products, through the specification, investigation, testing, support and integration phases of problem solving.  He/she participates in straightforward problem specification and analyses, supports the development of novel solutions.

The job holder is an individual contributor, responsible for planning and controlling his/her own activities to deliver assigned work.  Plans relating to non-typical work may be reviewed with a more senior member of staff once they have been prepared, but the job holder is responsible for delivery within the plan once agreed.  The job holder will need to remain aware of the team's activities - and of relevant activities outside the immediate team - to identify and act upon dependencies between his/her work and that of other team members.

Problems will typically arise in relation to individual assigned pieces of work, and how these related to work being carried out elsewhere.  Other problems will relate to technical situations not encountered before.
