Your role
As the Operations Manager, you will assume a key leadership role within Desoutter's Seti-Tec site, reporting directly to the General Manager and serving as a vital member of the executive team. You will oversee and coordinate the activities of the Purchasing, Production, Supply Chain, and Industrialization departments, which collectively include approximately 20 dedicated professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless execution of production processes, maintaining the highest standards of product quality, cost efficiency, and punctual delivery.
You will also be entrusted with operational budget management, including production investments such as assembly lines and quality control systems, as well as infrastructure funding. Ensuring adherence to corporate procedures and group-wide safety regulations will be an essential part of your role, alongside fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within your teams.

Your day-to-day
In your daily activities, you will be the custodian of Seti-Tec's production targets, ensuring that costs, delivery timelines, and product quality consistently meet or exceed expectations. You will lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the entire supply chain by developing actionable plans that improve client delivery, inventory levels, order tracking, and supplier commitments.
Working closely with the Quality and R&D departments, you will guarantee the robustness and reliability of product industrialization processes. You will maintain strict compliance with all safety standards and optimize production capacity through meticulous planning of resource and equipment usage.
Your role will also encompass driving continuous operational improvements to boost productivity, managing budgets to align with expenditure and cost reduction targets, and establishing monthly objectives that align with divisional strategies.
Furthermore, you will actively participate in shaping and deploying the operations strategy for the Seti-Tec site, collaborating with teams in Paris and potential new manufacturing sites near international customers. Adapting tools and processes to accommodate rapid growth and evolving product mixes will be vital, alongside managing corrective actions, overseeing capital investments, and enhancing team capabilities and machine performance. You will also ensure that all team members are trained and adhere to company policies and procedures, while providing effective leadership, coaching, and performance evaluation.
Your profile
We seek candidates with an engineering background in mechanical, electromechanical, production, or procurement disciplines, accompanied by at least five years of supervisory experience in production within a small-to-medium sized industrial setting integrated into an international group. Proven expertise in managing small and medium series production, continuous improvement, change management, and problem-solving is essential. Your competencies should span Production, Supply Chain Management, Lean Manufacturing, Industrialization, and Quality Assurance. A customer-centric mindset, coupled with recognized leadership skills, organizational acumen, and effective planning capabilities, will be critical to your success in this role. Strong interpersonal abilities and a commitment to supporting and developing your team are paramount. Familiarity with SAP is advantageous, as is fluency in English to effectively engage with international colleagues and stakeholders.
